Building Hope began as a dream of a few people from the Edmonton area Nazarene churches who saw a need in the Beverly area of Edmonton.  A study of the area was completed and it was found that there were low income and no income families in the community that could benefit from a Compassionate Ministry Center.  So, it was decided that a Compassionate Ministry Center should be opened.  The belief was that we could establish a safe place where people could gather and support one another in their own community.  It would be a place where people would be treated with respect and dignity.  We would seek to develop relationship with those who come through our doors so that no one would suffer from a lonely, isolated life.
